Dean Steel, Chief Executive Officer

Current Responsibilities:
As the Chief Executive Officer, Dean oversees all aspects of URMMA’s operations.

Experience:
Dean was appointed CEO of URMMA in February 2001.  Prior to that appointment, he worked as URMMA’s Loss Control Manager for approximately 1 1/2 years. Before coming to URMMA, Dean worked in City Management for 18 years.

James D. Fisher, Claims & Litigation Manager

Current Reponsibilities:
Jim oversees the Claims and Litigation Department. He works closely with the Members aqnd defense counsel on litigation.

Experience:
Jim has been on the URMMA staff since 1991.  He has over 28 years of claims and litigation experience.

Juris Doctorate - University of Idaho

Lyle Kunz, Claims Adjuster

Current Responsibilities:
Lyle works closely with the claimants and Members to investigate, evaluate and settle claims.

Experience:
Lyle joined the URMMA staff in 2001. He has 27 years experience as a claims adjuster in the private and public sector.

Attended Brigham Young University

Carl Parker, Loss Control Manager

Current Responsibilities:
Carl works directly with Members to identify potential risks within the cities.  He conducts annual inspections for each Member to assess compliance with the URMMA Inspection Program. Carl also provides individual training for Member cities on a variety of topics.

Experience:
Carl joined the URMMA staff in 1995 as a claims Adjuster.  He has been URMMA’s Loss Control Manager for two years. Prior to joining the URMMA staff, Carl worked as a claims adjuster in the private and public sectors for s10 years.

Joanne Glantz, Education Manager

Current Responsibilities:
Joanne coordinates and/or conducts the various education seminars for URMMA.

Experience:
Joanne joined the URMMA staff in 2000. Prior to coming to URMMA, she worked in the private sector for 23 years.

Kathy Kenison, Administrative Services Manager

Current Responsibilities:
Kathy is responsible for the finances and records management for URMMA. She was appointed as URMMA’s Treasurer in 1989. She also supervises the clerical staff.

Experience:
Kathy joined the URMMA staff in 1988.  She worked in the private sector for 13 years before coming to URMMA.

Jan Brimhall, Administrative Assistant

Current Responsibilities:
Jan provides clerical services for URMMA.

Experience:
Jan has worked for URMMA since 1998. Prior to joining URMMA, she worked in the private sector for 15 years.
