Risk Management Program

The URMMA Inspection Program provides each member an opportunity to evaluate their compliance to an aggressive loss control program. The Inspection Program is adopted annually by the Executive Committee. It measures specific performance for a number of parameters where it has been determined there is a high probability that a loss will take place. An annual on-site inspection of each member is conducted by URMMA’s Loss Control Manager and a score for each parameter is determined. Inspection scores allow members to compare their compliance with other member municipalities. The inspection scores are also used as a premium modifier.

It is expected that members will strive to improve their risk management inspection scores annually. The Association has established membership standards to encourage excellence and to reduce the exposure of large losses.
