The URMA Inspection Program provides each Member an opportunity to evaluate their compliance to an aggressive risk management program. Since the Inspection Program is adopted annually by the Executive Committee, it focuses on issues relevant to our Members. The Inspection Program measures Members’ performance in a number of categories where it has been determined there is a high probability of loss. URMA’s Loss Control Manager conducts an extensive onsite inspection of each Member City annually and determines a score for each parameter. A written report is submitted to the Member outlining the findings of the inspection. This “second set of eyes” on the City’s operations can provide valuable input for the Member’s leadership and elected officials. Because risk management is important to URMA, the inspection score is used as a premium modifier.

URMA Members want their cities to be safe for their citizens. They also want their city to be the best. The competition for first place in the Inspection Program is lively.
